This is the silliest thing I have read in a while.
Boston.com---At the end of the trial, all the women had gained weight. But the women who said they felt higher levels of racism gained more weight and had bigger waist-size increases compared to the women who felt the least racism. That held true after accounting for factors such as education, geographic region, and beginning body mass index.
Come on! Yes, there are racist people out there. But give me a break people don't like fat people. Most Americans are fat, and that is one reason why other countries don't like us.
I like everyone, except fat people. Does that make me racist? Well yes, if you include fat as a race. The fat people in this study are looking for a excuse on why they are fat, and its not because of race. Its because of french fries, and their lazy asses. So instead of blaming mean people because your the size of Ireland, get up off the couch and go for a walk to buy a salad.
Boston.com---In the distance, beyond the view of the drooling border collies, there they were, flaunting their vitality.
The troop of goslings, cute as could be with their golden down and high-pitch squawking, pranced behind their parents along the rocky edge of the Charles River, munching the well-tended grass and relieving themselves whenever they felt the need, oblivious of Len Ellis and his dogs, their stalkers on the Esplanade.
Ellis and his playful predators were otherwise engaged against another covey in the perennial battle with Canada geese, flocks of which continue to occupy broad swaths of the Esplanade and turn the city's front lawn into a minefield of excrement, despite years of efforts to banish them.
"They have everything they need here, plenty of grass, plenty of water, plenty of places to nest," said Ellis, 69, who has spent nearly every day of the last six years in a Sisyphean skirmish with the obstinate birds. "You have to harass them. That's the name of the game - harass them until they don't want to be here anymore."
Yet they keep coming back.
As a result, local officials are now considering more drastic methods before the molting season begins in June and the geese lose their flying feathers for several months.
At a meeting last week between the state Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Esplanade Association, officials discussed recruiting a volunteer force of dog owners who might be allowed to unleash their pooches to aid Ellis, who visits the Esplanade at most two hours a day and can only cover so much ground.
In recent weeks, workers from the US Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service have used special net guns to capture and then kill at least five overly aggressive birds, using carbon dioxide. The USDA already helps local officials keep eggs from hatching by coating them in corn oil - an effort that now takes place every spring from the Esplanade to the Public Garden to Jamaica Pond - but the oil has to be applied within a specific time frame or it is ineffective.
For anyone that has been around freshwater in their lives probably had some sort of interaction with water fowl. And I am almost guarantee that this interaction was a negative one. These birds are called fowl or foul as I like to call them, for a reason. They a vicious, short tempered, and mean harded creatures.
They attack for no reason, and they shit all over the place. I'm pretty sure that in bible the gates of hell are guarded by water foul. They think their smart and try to hypnotize you with their appealing looks so that you get close and you want to pet them, only to strike with a vengeance once you are near. Swans are notorious for this sabotage attack style.
The worst victims are little kids, because society teaches us that these are nice friendly animals. Which there not. I can't tell you how many kids I have seen run for their lives once these birds realize that you have no more bread for them. Which is part of the problem.
Usually every where these birds hang out there are signs that say DO NOT FEED THEM! But does that stop people, fuck no it just makes them feed them more. Which in turn makes these stupid things depended on humans as a food source. This isn't the same as putting up a bird feeder in the back yard. When you go and refill the feeder birds scatter. However, when any human goes near the water these shit fucks come running at you. And if you are a little kid with no food, your screwed because these animals are more temperamental than ESPN's Steven Angry Smith.
But I have had it with these birds. When I fish and these shit fucks start swimming over to me, I take a page out of their books and I go on the attack first. I'll scream, jump up and down, make angry facial expressions at them. Anything to make them not like humans. But I will not use foul language on these fowl. I do not want to resort to their level.
So I applaud Boston in taking a stand against these vicious animals. Something needs to be done. But I am not for killing anything. I don't believe shooting them and sending attack dogs is the solution. How about fining the people that keep feeding them? Make a $100 dollar fine for everyone caught throwing bread to these pests. Lets put the fear of humans back into these stupid birds.
If they are afriad of humans they will not get tangled in my fishing line (and scare away the fish), they would be less likely to hang out where humans hang out (less shit on the bottom of your shoe), and people don't have to worry about vicious beat down handed out by these birds.
Seriously people, I'm tried of this cold weather bull shit. I know its still March, but it the end of March and I am sick and tried of seeing my breath every morning. A co-worker of mine just got back from Antarctica and he said it was warmer there, than it is here. That doesn't make sense, even if it is the end of the summer in the South Pole, its still the dam ass South freaking Pole! Someone told me that it is nice outside today, but I think that was just a clever rouse. Not only does this cold weather blow goats, but I am sick and tried of paying for my heat. Heat is fucking expensive. And I could use this money that I'm paying for warm air on important things, such as: bling, bitches, or beer. Mostly a combination of the three.
So Mother Nature, you dirty cunt. Please enough of this fucking winter.
I love women. But sometimes some of their fashion trends boggle my mind. Here are some examples. Rubber boots: Ok, wheres the flood? Seriously wheres the flood? Every chick that lives in a climate that gets more than 2 inches of rain a year has a pair of these obnoxious boots. Yes, they may keep the rain out, but you look like a tool wearing them. Save these shit show shoes for when you basement floods.
Large Belly Button Rings: I should state that I like belly buttons rings, except the ones with something dangling. What the fuck are chicks thinking? Why do you need something protruding from your naval like the creature from alien. I could see if this provided a valuable function like keeping lint out of there, but it doesn't. It just there to try and redirect attention to your stomach instead of your ugly face. Keep it simple ladies.
Multiple Ear Piercing: Once again I like chicks with ear rings, but I think there should be a limit of 2 piercing per ear. What the freak is wrong with some chicks? Do they aspire to look like they came out of the jungle. Whats the next big fashion trend rings around the neck?Unless the chick is goth or emo, chicks shouldn't have more than two things in one ear.
Tattoos: My honest opinion is that chicks shouldn't have any tattoos. Women are just beautiful the way they are and don't need graffiti all over them. But its OK to have a small tat or two. However, any chick with a tramp stamp (AKA ass antlers) or anything around their vag is a whore. No if's, and's, or but's about it. When I see a chick with a tramp stamp I try and get on that shit because she is easy. And when I am downtown and notice that a chick has a tat next to her pussy I wrap my shit up immediately. Because both of these are the mark of the whore. Ladies, please do not get tattoos in these areas if you are not a whore. Because I will stereotype you no matter what.
Flip flops in the work place: There is totally a double standard when it comes to flip flop wearing. Chicks can totally get away with wearing flip flops to work, guys can not. So I don't want to hear how your feet hurt because you are wearing some shoe that you paid too much for and can only be worn with that dress. I wear shoes that I don't want to wear everyday to work, so deal with it. I am.
First, it is cold and rainy outside. It finally turned to snow after I got to work. I rather have snow, then rain, because I hate rain. And this is on the heals of back-to-back 60 degree days.
Second I have no hot water. My hot water water heater broke. How do I know my hot water heater broke? Because when I woke up this morning there was a old man that greeted me in my kitchen this morning while I was only wearing my boxers. And this old gentleman was my neighbor who at the time was informing me that my water heater was leaking into his bedroom. Who let him in? Oh, he let himself in because my roommate has issue with the whole key into lock and then turn technology. Apparently he can not figure how modern locks work. He thinks slamming the door hard enough the locking mechanism in the door turn. This has never worked in the past, but he continues to try. So lets recap. Its raining and snowing, I have no hot water, and a old guy broke into my place to greet me in my underwear to inform me that I have no hot water. Awesome

Kids 'crossing croc-infested waters' to get to school in Northern Territory
Australia---CLAIMS children from a remote Aboriginal community must walk through a crocodile-infested billabong to get to school will be investigated the Northern Territory Government.
A caller from Palumpa, about 375km southwest of Darwin, said on ABC radio that students brave the dangerous waterway every day of the wet season. The caller said a ferry service had in the past been used to get the children to school, but was cancelled because it was considered too dangerous.NT Chief Minister Paul Henderson today said it "was the first I've heard of that".But he said he'd look into the claims and "would get right onto" them as a matter of priority."I don't know what the issues are, it hasn't been raised with me," he said."Obviously if there are safety issues that's something else, but we will find any way we can to get those kids to school.
These kids need to shut the hell up! Oh, they have to fend off crocodiles when going to school, boo hoo. When I went to school we didn't have half the shit the kids today have. Kids now-a-days have computers in the class rooms. Yes, we did have computers in my school but they had floppy disk drives. Kids today probably don't even know what a floppy disk drive is! The Internet, there was no Internet. If we had to look something up, then we had to use books. Kids today have no idea how inconvenient it is to look something up in book. Especially when you go to the library and find that someone ripped out the page that you needed. What do you do then, nothing because your fucked!
We didn't have computers with Word so that we could type our papers. We had to use typewriters. If you fucked up, guess what you start over. Kids now can send text messages to each other while in class. We were force to pass notes. This was like using the Pony Express. You send the letter off having no idea if it will ever make there, or how many times the wrong person will read it before it gets to its destination.
I admit, at least when I was in school there was never any threats of kids going barzerk and shooting up the place. Arguments were settled in the Warriors fashion, with your fists. You meet after school and duke it out. Now kids are such pussy's that they send hate mail on someones myspace account or try and blow up the school.
I don't feel bad for these kids at all. They should just use google earth and find a better route. And their Aborigine shouldn't they know how to speak crocodilian or something.
So tonight is the night where I told myself that I have to wrap gifts. This is probably the single most thing I hate about Christmas. I am not artsy, or have patience, so wrapping gift is more like a choir. Same as laundry, shoveling snow, and emptying the dishwasher, all of which I will have to do tonight.
The good thing about Christmas week is that it is a good time to be drinking. Its cold outside and people usually tend to be jolly. Its also a fun week to work, since nobody seems to be at work.
Drunk At The Office Party Here is a quick demonstration on how to get fired in 1 minute. We all talk about people, but you sure do feel dumb when you get caught. Especially on camera...
Ah, there is nothing like the company's Holiday Party to make it feels like the holidays. I am going into this party in 5th gear. I am going to get drunk, and I don't care if I make a ass out of myself. I could careless about my actions. I am a fucker that goes to meetings with a resignation letter ready to drop, if shit hits the fan.
The best news is that we our about to get dumped on by at 12 inches of snow. The local weather station is reporting that we should be getting 1-2 inches of snow/hour when the party is kicking off. This should keep all the stiff MD's and Ph D's away. And let the real partiers have fun.
But I can guarantee that I will not be the drunkest person there. That always goes to my friend. I am not sure how she will top last years performance. She made out with a dudes wife, got kicked out by security and on the way out she barfed. Not only did she make out with somebody's wife, but when I was walking back to my table to scarf down some California rolls and spicy yellow fin tuna, I ran into her and ask where her date was. She promptly tried to make out with me at that time. I wasn't having it. I learned my lesson a while back no P.D.A with co-workers in front of other co-workers.
So let it snow! Bring that shit, and let the alcohol flow!
So I took last Friday and Monday off from work (and blogging) so that I could have time to play in Lucky Land. Apparently outside of Lucky Land there was a huge fucking ice storm that crippled New England. Because in Lucky Land I saw mild temperature and the small cloud of rain. But that stupid rain cloud always follow me around.
So judging by work emails from my staff saying they couldn't get to work, and by frantic phone calls from my folks I guess everywhere besides Lucky Land lost power and was covered in about 6 inches of ice. I think this is what it must have look like just outside of Lucky Land.
So I have giving up trying to find my mom that special gift. Its been to hard to find, plus I have been freezing my ass off in the woods each weekend trying to catch the stupid thing.
I thought ordering gifts online would save me some money, because every time I go to the mall I end up buying something for myself. I ordered about 12 different things from Amazon.com, what I didn't realize until checkout is that each item is coming from a different location, which required each item to have its own shipping cost. But fuck it, it probably tripled my costs but it saves me from walking around a mall.
But I did have to go to the mall yesterday. I was hoping that going to the mall someone would call me with a bar crawl to go on, like last weekend. But no. After buying some little nic nacks and Xmas cards, I ended up at Williams Sonoma. I figured I could at least get some peppermint bark for myself, but no those cock suckers were out of it. But I did see a set of Rooster dinnerware that would be great for my mom's new kitchen. And at her age she could use the extra cock around the kitchen.
After buying this dishware I knew it was going to be heavy, and it was. At least Williams Sonama have some fancy bags to make it easier, but it was still heavy. So I lugged this shit home. I noticed that during the walk my fingers felt a little tingly, but I just figured that the way I was holding one of the bags it was just cutting off the circulation to my fingers a little. But now one full day later I still have numbness in my finger tips from carrying this cock set home. I feel that this numbness is somehow related to my neck nerve pain, but its just a pain in the ass. I thinking it will go away on its own, but it just adds to my disliking of x-mas shopping.
And on something completly random, how did Umass beat Kansas?
So even though I am not a fan of Christmas I did get some good gifts through out the years. Here is my list of the 10 best gifts I ever got for Christmas.
10. Loud Ass Computer SpeakersNow this is really one isn't really about gift, its how I used the gift. My roommate who lives below me has the same hours as a vampire. He went through a stretch of time when ever single weekday night he would come home and blast music from his room. So just about every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday night my bed would vibrate from the bass of his music. I had two roommates moved out because of this. And I have permanent nerve damage in my neck from constantly trying to sleep while holding pillows down on my head. So for a recent x-mas I asked for speakers that could kick out as much bass as humanly possible. It was time for me to return the favor. However, one night I did get in trouble with my neighbors. I passed out at my desk with the speakers really loud. My neighbors couldn't comprehend how anyone could sleep through that. Try about 20 beers.
9. Transformers There wasn't one specific Transformer that stands out. I just thought they were all really cool. And they still are. Its really two toys in one. You have a car or something, and then you have a robot. A toy that will stand the test of time.
8. IpodThe Ipod is just one of those things now that I can't imagine living without. I'm not sure what year I first got my Ipod, but it has changed my life. Remember those clunky tape cassette and CD players, how did we carry those things around? Especially while exercising. The Ipod is up there with the wheel.
7. Season Skiing Pass to Nashoba Valley Ah, I remember the days of being a youth. For one whole skiing season I think I skied everyday. Nashoba Valley can't be called a mountain. More like a Ski bump. Or most places bunny hill. But as a young teenager this was awesome. I was never that good at skiing but for one year of my life I was a little ski brat. I also learned the embarrassment of riding down the hill in one of those medic ski patrol sleds, after I got the wind knocked out of me trying to do some trick off a jump. Years later I found out that midnight sledding at Nashoba was a lot more fun.
6.George Foreman Grill Even to this day I still use a Foreman Grill. But in college this gift was king. I think at one point in everybody's life they owned a Foreman Grill.
5. Tecmo Bowl Tecmo Bowl changed sports game forever. It was the first time I could remember that real life players were actually being used in video sports game. This game was more addictive than crystal meth. I would having sleep overs at my friends house and just playing this game all night. Bo Jackson was just retarded. Tacklers would just bounce off him. The only way to slow him down was to pick the exact play. Which wasn't hard, you had a 25% chance of getting it right. 4. BikeNow my first real bike was some BMX bike. I can't really remember too much about the specifics. But its more about what I accomplished on the bike than the actually gift. Getting a bike allowed me to go places where I could never walk to. Which got me into a lot of trouble as a kid. I think growing up I was banned at one point or another in hanging out with all my friends. I guess their parents thought I was a bad influence or something. But I really wasn't that bad or anything. Its not like I burned my house down or anything.
3. Commador 64
My first computer. I still remember the thing like it was yesterday. Mostly because I think it was faster then my current computer. The ability to play games and to write something without a typewriter, fucking genius.
2. Intellivision I am really showing my age now with this gift. Most people at the time went with the Atari gaming system. Not me I went with Intellivision, and its paddle style control. In hindsight probably a bad move, since Atari took off. But I loved intellivision. Spend so many long hours playing it, because it didn't save so how else were you going to get the high score. This is just like the Lexus commerical. But I am still waiting for someone to buy me a car.
1. GI Joe Aircraft Carrier This gift rocked. More like it was a rock. It was 7 feet long and once it was together you couldn't move it. But seriously, not too many kids had the aircraft carrier so it was a cool as gift. I loved GI Joe's so this was the apex of my collection. You know that a GI Joe vehicle kicks ass when its not in the top 20 of stupidest GI Joe vehicles. My only complaint (besides that it couldn't be moved) is that it only came with one guy. Whats the deal with that? One guy to operate the whole boat? Only in GI Joe world. Good thing Cobra Commandos aren't a good shot.
Call me a Grinch, but I can't stand Christmas. You know it was fun as a kid, but now its just a little old. If I could celebrate with my 2 year old nephew then maybe it would be a little bit more fun.
There is just way too much pressure associated around Christmas. Every family member I talked to about what they want for Christmas goes like this; "you don't have to get me anything for X-mas", well I have to at least get you something, "no don't worry you don't have to get me anything".
So this makes me constantly wandering around malls trying to find something. And just by the sheer numbers of the people in the mall you all bound to run into somebody that you know. And its never that cute girl you met at the bar, who left before you grabbed her number. Its always that ex co-worker that you never talked to at work, so then you have to make stupid conservation.
So this weekend I tried to do some x-mas shopping, and failed miserably. The only thing that I bought was a suit for myself. Then I decided to hop in a 12 bars of Christmas bar crawl. I figured that this made up for not buying anything.
But what really drives my nuts about Christmas is how people think that it is some giant holy day. Well most of Christmas tradition are Pagan rituals. The tree, the stockings, the bearded man that flies in the sky. Yep these are Pagan beliefs. I'm not hating on Pagan's, but most Catholics believe that Pagan's are evil. Which there not.
"For preventing disorders arising in several places within this jurisdiction, by reason of some still observing such festivals, as were superstitiously kept in other countries, to the great dishonor of God and offense to others: It is therefore ordered by this Court and the authority thereof, that whosoever shall be found observing any such day as Christmas or the like, either by forbearing labour, feasting, or any other way upon any such account as aforesaid, every such person so offending, shall pay five shillings as a fine to the country."
But what I the NASA/Santa Claus relationship a interested one. Because during Apollo 8 mission the crew reported seeing Santa Claus.
What do you think NASA meant by Santa Claus? Well I have today off, and instead of staying warm on this cold day I have to go out and try and get some x-mas done. I hate it.
I am a "T" rider. This is how I get around. Mostly on the Redline. I have giving my thoughts about the MBTA before. But one thing I would like to add about the MBTA is that its a fucking scam.
So for a typical fare it is suppose to be $2 for one way. Fine. However, you can not just put $2 into the machine for a one way ticket. You must deposit at least $5 in, even if you just need a one way ticket. So now you have $5 worth of credit to ride the MBTA. So now you do 2 rides at $2 each way. There is still that $1 that is unaccounted for, and can not be used. So for every round trip ticket someone buys the MBTA is stealing a $1 from you. You can not get this dollar back. This is a fucking scam. The MBTA headquarters are actually in Nigeria. Here is them at work. But now this.
T removing Red Line seats
Boston Herald--Red Line riders will be packed like cattle starting Monday as part of an MBTA plan to herd more passengers into already crowded cars by ripping out seats in the region’s overloaded subway system, the Herald has learned.
The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority will run Red Line trains with two retrofitted cars that will leave only four seats on each for elderly and disabled users, according to a state official briefed on the plan.
We pay enough money to ride the stupid T, we should have leather seats on those trains. But no, they are taking away our FREAKING SEATS! Now this won't really affect me too much, I like to stand, but I am worried about the fat people. What are they going to do. They can't stand for a 90 second T ride. Fat people are going to be dropping dead on the trains now. And you know who going to be doing CPR on these fat people? Not me. Because there was only 3 people in my class that failed CPR training and I was one of them. So don't look for me for support.
This is another stupid idea by the MBTA, still not as stupid as removing the turnstiles and adding those ridiculous electronic gates. Yes, the Redline does get crowded at times during rush hour, but its not like riding the subway in some communist country.
So once again I find myself to busy to blog. Its a shame really. I was hoping to put in some good blogging time today, but I just had someone call out sick because of a headache. A headache!
And my last few posts were all about serious stuff like earthquakes or failing car companies. I remember the good ol days when I use to make fun of my gay roommate and how silly communism is.
Maybe those days will return soon, but I can't predict the future. Or can I?
But currently my email is not working, so if this keeps up maybe it will be a good day.
So I was reading how Ford's CEO is willing to take a annual salary of $1 if they receive loans from the government. But in the same article in Boston.com they mentioned how Ford was focusing on electric cars.
Ford says CEO will work for $1 to get gov't loans
DETROIT—Ford Motor Co. will tell Congress that it plans to return to a pretax profit or break even in 2011 when the Detroit Three automakers' CEOs appear before lawmakers this week to request $25 billion in government loans.
Ford CEO Alan Mulally said he'll work for $1 per year if the company has to take any government loan money.
After grilling the CEOs at hearings last month, Congressional leaders demanded plans from the automakers by Tuesday to show that they will survive if they get federal funds. The plan Ford submitted said the company will cancel all management employees' 2009 bonuses and will not pay any merit increases for its North American salaried employees next year.
The company also said it will sell its five corporate aircraft. The CEOs of all three Detroit automakers were harshly criticized during last month's hearings for flying to Washington in separate corporate jets.
Mulally said in an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday that Ford will give much more detail to Congress than it did previously, and the company will emphasize the steps it has taken to cut its labor costs with the United Auto Workers union.
Mulally said Ford will seek $9 billion as its share of the loan money but may not need to use it. The Dearborn-based company has said it has enough cash to make it through next year without assistance.
As part of the plan submitted to Congress, Ford said it does not anticipate a liquidity crisis in 2009, "barring a bankruptcy by one of its domestic competitors or a more severe economic downturn that would further cripple automotive sales." The loan would provide a safeguard against worsening conditions, the company said.
The company said it will accelerate plans to roll out electric vehicles as part of its plan.
"We are going to do that across our product line," Mulally said in the interview.
The first plug-in vehicle will be a Transit Connect small van for commercial use in 2010 and a car the size of the Ford Focus compact the following year.
My question is why weren't they focusing switching to electric cars years ago? This mostly revolves around GM Motors, but Ford had its hand in it too.
The movie does a great job showing the cover up of the electric car. Oil companies were afraid to lose money so they attached car companies to their hips to crush the idea of the electric car.
What if US car makers said F. U. to Big Oil when they were developing the electric car? Do you think it would have hurt their sales? Did the automakers really think that consumers wouldn't be interested in something besides a gas powered car?
The electric car has been around for almost a 100 years, this is not a new invention. Nikola Tesla came up with the first electric car, along with a lot of other things. Electric cars are not some primitive technology that can only travel slow and have a short range. (Which is what the automakers want you to believe). They can actually out preform regular cars.
SAN FRANCISCO (Business 2.0 Magazine) - Ian Wright has a car that blows away a Ferrari 360 Spider and a Porsche Carrera GT in drag races, and whose 0-to-60 acceleration time ranks it among the fastest production autos in the world. In fact, it's second only to the French-made Bugatti Veyron, a 1,000-horsepower, 16-cylinder beast that hits 60 mph half a second faster and goes for $1.25 million.
The key difference? The Bugatti gets eight miles per gallon. Wright's car? It runs off an electric battery.
What I am trying to point out is the American car companies are late to the party. Instead of building a product that Americans could be using right now, they choosed the route of pleasing Big Oil. Car companies kept manufacturing huge gas swallowing machine. So when gas became $4 a gallon, no one wanted to buy their cars. Just think if ONE American car company came out with a electric car, lets say 5 years ago. They would have the #1 selling car in America, and probably would have bought out at least one or maybe even two of the other large American car companies.
So I really have no sympathy for the American car companies, let them suffer.
MISSOULA, Mont. (Sept. 10) - A middle school teacher suffered some bruising and a big scratch on his back after he struck a bear while riding his bicycle to school.
Jim Litz said he was traveling about 25 mph Monday morning when he came upon a rise and spotted a black bear about 10 feet in front of him. He didn't have time to stop and T-boned the bruin.
He tumbled over the handlebars, his helmet hit the bear's back and the two went cartwheeling down the road.
The bear rolled over Litz's head, cracking his helmet, and scratched his back before scampering up a hill above the road.
Litz's wife drove by shortly after the crash and took her husband to the hospital. He hoped to be able to return to teaching science at Target Range Middle School on Friday.
Besides people asking me stupid questions when I fish, the one thing that really gets me upset is bears stealing shit. This isn't the first time I have heard of a bear bike napping case. A few years ago during a triathlon a bear did the same thing.
DENVER – Triathlete Sabrina Oei was speeding downhill at nearly 40 mph, cycling through the Colorado foothills, when a black bear brought her to a sudden, painful, stop.
Oei (pronounced “OU'-eee”) slammed broadside into the bear when it wandered onto the race course Sunday. She went airborne, then slid on her back across the pavement.
Everybody knows bears are the laziest animal in the forest. They are just too lazy to walk so that is why they steal people's bikes.
Bears will do anything for a free ride. They will even hop in a taxi.
Or use other animals for transportation. Why are bears so lazy? Because all day long they just forge the forest looking for psychedelic mushrooms.
Bears get whacked out on drugs then play on things like trampolines.
Or they just sit there in our hammocks.
I guess having a drugged out bear in your hammock is better than having a drugged out bear going for a swim. Because then you would have to go save the dumb ass bear's life, because it can't swim.Bears are scumbags, nothing more than trouble.
WINTER GARDEN, Fla. -- A Winter Garden woman came home Friday to find a sunken SUV carrying two dead people in her backyard swimming pool, according to the Winter Garden Police Department. The homeowner came home at about 2 p.m. to take her dog out and noticed a statue in her patio was missing, and that's when she discovered the SUV in the pool.
It is unknown how the vehicle originally plunged into the pool located at 849 Home Grove Drive. The two adults, Rafael Cabrera, 67, and Adela Esposito, 87, in the SUV are dead, according to the Winter Garden Police Department.
The victims were on their way to the house next door where Cabrera's wife was babysitting. Cabrera has preexisting medical conditions. Inveestigators said he drove up Dashwood Court, up the driveway and into the pool.
There are no skid marks on the road near the woman's home and no signs of speeding before the SUV crashed into the pool screen, according to the Winter Garden Police Department.
Rescue crews began the process of extracting the car and victims from the swimming pool at around 4:30 p.m.
Having a pool growing up I found lots of dead things in my pool: mice, frogs, snakes, moles, squirrels, chipmunks, and birds. After a high school party I once found all of my patio furniture and some of my family room furniture in my pool, that was pretty disturbing. But imagine coming home and finding a car with two dead people in your pool. Think of the size of the skimmer you will need to fish them out. And its a pool, not the Mariana Trench why didn't they just get out? Because their old.
Its very tragic that two people had to die, but when are the laws going to change to have senior citizens not allowed to drive. Specially ones with a medical condition. We all seen them on the roads. Old people that can hardly see over the steering wheel, and driving well below the speed limit.
I purpose that when people hit 70 (maybe even 65) they need to take a driving test every two years. I don't think that this is too ridiculous. Rhode Island requires this, but they only make them take the vision test. Illinois requires drivers to take road test when they are over the age 75 when their license is up for renewal. And a couple of other states have stopped mail-in renewals for old drivers. But I don't think this is enough. Old drivers is one of the many reasons why I am afraid of driving and being in cars.
As you can probably tell theLucky has made some format changes. I had theLucky's IT staff up late into the night adding My Blog list to the right hand side. Only have a couple there now, but more will come. Added Crazy Hat Girl food blog to the list. I can already tell she is a better cook than my roommate. Who is a cook.
Also on the list is HCWDB, if you have not check out this site. Than you are stupid. By far the best thing on the internet.
As a blogger I am always reading other peoples blogs. I like to try and have my finger on the pulse of the blog community. My blog started off as one thing and has detoured into something else. That is why I refer to it as my Blob instead of a blog. Because it is keeps growing out of control.
I am always hitting the Next Blog icon on the top of the screen to read what other people are writing about. Most of them are cute fuzzy stuff. Like blogs about families or a trip through Europe. Which are cool. I enjoy looking at the pictures, and seeing how other people live their lives. But I don't spend much time reading them. I find that all the blogs that I want to read are in a different languages. Blogger needs to get some application that can translate peoples language into your own. Even if the grammar and language doesn't exactly match, we could at least get a clue of what they are trying to say. And plus there could be some funny slang translation that could make me laugh.
When I click Next Blog I sometime find that some blogs are god awful. I have actually see blogs dedicated to pot holders and another one on bird feeders. The pot holder blog had about 2 years worth of entries all on pot holders. Seriously, I would like to met this person and buy them a cup of coffee, because they need to wake up.
Then you have the blogs when you go to them and music starts playing. This isn't Myspace. I don't want to hear your crappy song, and neither does the world wide web. Even if your blog is a band site. Save it. There is nothing that gets me to click Next Blog faster than when I hear a song pop up. Well maybe some NSFW items, when I am at work.
But the worst blogs are the ones that don't have the Next Blog icon at the top. You people suck. I want to quickly scan through blogs then I get to your shitty blog, and have to click backspace then Next Blog again. Your blog is not the ultimate blog where the whole internet needs to stop and take a look. This drives me insane and I am sure others as well. As you can tell by this video of a guy who just realizes that he stumbled upon a blog without the Next Blog icon, and that has music playing.
They are here, category 5 tourist season is upon us. I am not sure why so many tourist come to Boston. Is there really that much to see here? But they come, and they come by the thousands from all over.
They are like locust. They emerge after the rainy season when the weather turns warm and humid. They swarm in large groups consume clam chowder and street meat as they move. You do not want to get caught in the middle of such swarms because they are probably speaking some foreign tongue, and are wearing socks with sandals.
Tourist season is so bad in Boston that I can not step out of my house without immediately walking into the middle of a historic walking tour. I estimate that I end up in about 100-200 tourist pictures per year. I do not stop walking when someone is taking a picture. I have no idea why it takes someone 2 minutes to snap a picture. But if you don't want me in your picture, then learn how to take a picture quicker.
If you want to take pictures hop on a duck tour. That way you are at least out of my way. That is of course until you enter the Charles River. The first rule of sailing on the Charles River is watch out for the duck boats. Once in the water its nothing but mayhem. They let little kids drive these crafts, and even though they were designed for use for WWII amphibian assaults. This is 2008 and its not cool to ram sail boats that are minding their own business in the the middle of the river. I am not that good at sailing, I don't need to do emergency maneuvers to try and avoid a land craft in the Charle River.
One thing that will always boggle my mind is why every tourist needs to see Cheers. I think we should put a sign in the baggage claim at Logan airport that states, CHEERS LOOKS NOTHING LIKE WHAT IT DID ON THE TV SHOW AND THE FOOD SUCKS. This would eliminate about half of the "where is Cheers" directions questions that I get.
Why does everyone ask me for directions. Just because I walk at a brisk pace does not mean that I know where shit it. I will probably send you to the wrong way. And why are you asking me, I know you have a tourist map. Everybody has a map. Its like college freshman on their first day of school.
Some friendly tourist advice:
Leave the city. Plenty to see outside of Boston, and I don't have to deal with you.
That red line on the street, thats the Freedom Trail, follow that.
I'm listening to my Ipod, which means I probably won't hear you asking me questions. I'm not rude I just don't want to hear from you.
Go on a whale watching tour. Probably one of the few places in the US where you can hop on a boat and see some whales. Plus you are far away from me.
Don't go to Cheers, if you really need to go to Cheers go to the one in Faneuil Hall. Better bar and plus you are already in Funeuil Hall. Which is the ultimate tourist trap.
Do not try and talk like your from Boston. If you say that you are going to Pahk the cah in Havahd Yahd, you will probably get bitched slapped.
What ever you do don't drive. Boston streets were designed by cow paths, they make no sense.
