Woman says 'pimp' held child ransom
(Last updated: June 23, 2008 8:48 AM)TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- A Tampa woman learned the hard way that a man she told police was her "pimp" was probably not the best choice of a baby sitter.
The woman told police on Saturday that she had left her 1-year-old son with Odonga Kenya Rush while she worked. Police report that she was supposed to pick the child up Friday evening but was told by Rush that she would not get the child back until she earned $300.
According to police, officers waited for Rush at his home until he showed up. Rush was arrested, and the child was returned to his mother.
Jail records show Rush was being held on several charges, including interference with child custody and extortion.
No bond had been set
Seriously what is wrong with people. Your pimp should not be a option to baby sit your kid. Not once, not never. But the pimp did seem like he was trying to make a business decision. This whore probably wasn't earning up to her potential, and this was some sort of some pimp jedi-mind trick to get her back on track. I am sure the baby was fine, pimps always have women around them, so he probably just gave the kid to one of his bitches to watch.
